"Damian Dinning Leaves Nokia,Will Join Jaguar Land Rover"
Damian Dinning has decided to leave the company effective November 30.
Dinning started working at Nokia in April 2004 and took the role as the company's lead program manager for Imaging Experience and worked closely on devices like the Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 920. Reportedly, the news of his leaving came as a shock to Nokia's execs.
Here's what Nokia UK have responded to AmateurPhotographer's request for additional information.
Following the relocation of key strategic roles to Finland, and with great reluctance, Damian Dinning has made a personal decision to leave the company effective 30 November 2012.
During the past nine years, [Damian] has made many innovative and valuable contributions to Nokia, most recently as a lead program manager in our Smart Devices business.
We thank him for his service to the company and certainly wish him the best.
Dinning hasn't revealed what path he'll take and whether he already has an offer to join another company. However, here's his tweet from couple of days ago giving some clues.
Update: Dinning has now confirmed the news in a response he sent to PureView Club. There he reiterates the reason given by Nokia UK, saying that his reason for leaving Nokia is his inability to move to Finland as was required of him. More importantly, he has announced that he will now be joining the Jaguar Land Rover group, where he will "take a role driving future innovations in the exciting new field of Connected Car".

Angry Birds/Star Wars The Game:)
The mashup is being teased via Rovio's official Angry Birds Tumblr and Twitter feeds, and as if to underline the fact that this is a merchandising deal, the big reveal is planned for October 8th at 10AM EST at Toys R Us in Times Square. In fact, there's no guarantee that this will be a game at all, but it seems likely that will at least be a small part of the overall strategy.
Rovio has promised that "over the next few weeks we'll have behind-the-scenes content, animations, comics, and much, much more." We're trying to get more info, but more than likely we'll have to wait until Monday to see what this is all about. We have to admit that we are looking forward to an Angry Birds/Star Wars game, if only in the hope that there will be a Jabba the Hut piggie. However, we are definitely not looking forward to the toys, t-shirts, candy, etc that will inevitably also burst forth from this deal.

Reuters:Ipad Mini To Be Announce On October 23!!!
On Friday, All Things D said that its sources have told them that Apple would hold an "invitation-only" event on October 23rd where the long rumored mini version of Apple's tablet will finally be made official. As far back as December 2010, a picture showed what was rumored to be a miniature version of the Apple iPad although it was never confirmed. Now, 22 months later, the device looks to be a reality. One Wall Street analyst, who got to play with the device while touring Asian component suppliers, called it a more mobile version of Apple's tablet that easily slipped into the pocket on his sports coat while fitting his palm like a glove.
In pricing the device at around the same price point where the low priced 7 inch Android tablets reside, Apple will be giving up some of its profit margin in order to defend its extremely high market share in the tablet market. A recent survey from IDC showed the Apple iPad with a commanding 68.2% of the global tablet market. During the recent patent trial with Samsung, Apple said that its profit margin on U.S. sales of the iPad ranged from 23% to 32% from October 2010 through March 2012. Considering that Amazon has said that it sells its $199 tablet at cost, there is not going to be much room for Apple to make money. This could be the beginning of a crack in the company's earnings that the bears on Apple's stock have been looking for. Apple's shares have recently tumbled from the $700 level hit after the release of the Apple iPhone 5 to the current price near $630, a 10% decline.
Sterne Agee analyst Shaw Wu says that if Apple prices the Apple iPad mini in the $299-$349 range, it will keep the same profit margins as it has with the larger version of the tablet. Even if it prices the tablet below $299, Wu says that the Cupertino based firm can still make a decent profit by limiting native storage on the device to 8GB instead of the 16GB on the larger model. The Apple iPad mini is rumored to be Wi-Fi only with Apple keeping data connectivity for its higher priced models.

Ipad Mini Delayed???
The Apple iPad Mini, a 7.85-inch compact tablet might have been delayed. Earlier, a “major Apple investor who says he’s heard it from ‘multiple sources’” said the company will send press invites on October 10th for an event scheduled for next week, but this never happened.
So question is what’s happened? It’s more likely that the tablet was delayed for some reason rather than scrapped completely.
After all, sources that seem very close to Apple like the Wall Street Journal have joined in agreeing with rumors about its existence, and we’ve been hearing reports that Apple has ordered manufacturers to make 10 million units of the new tablet. Not bad for a start...
